Two Sided Book

Book

The Museum officially scolds the Library of Congress for issuing only one ISBN number for this book when there should be two.

Mark Singer, a librarian by trade, disagrees:

“The “scolding” is quite misplaced here. It IS one book—just like a collection of essays by different authors In this case, the item contains two works (“novellas”) by two authors within its covers, but the material conditions or what catalogers call “physical description” means that it’s considered a monographic work. You see, “books” can very in length from a few pages to multi-volume.

As the cartoonist said, “You gotta draw the line somewhere.'”
