“FROM A LITTLE SHOE THAT WAS PART OF IT” This photograph shows the “slipperspoon,” discovered at a flea market by Andre Breton, and transformed into an icon for the surrealist movement. Like his “cinderella ashtray”, the slipperspoon was for Breton a “marvelous precipitate” both objectively and lingustically.
