Gold Double Case of Tutankhamun

Postcard

1979

Donated by Burke Patterson

The back of the card reads: This gold Double Case was made to contain some kind of unguent (translation: an ointment or salve). Both figures represent Tutankhamun, one image with fair skin and the other with black face. The case was found in the bottom of the sarcophagus and is one of 55 spectacular artifacts in the exhibition: The Treasures of Tutanhkamen.”
